Red Door

  1. It's like looking at two seperate photographs top & bottom merging in the middle. The steep contrast of lines work to make one lovely photo. It leaves me to wonder your thoughts as you composed the shot.

  2. Hmm, interesting comment, GB. I noticed the line of trees and the red door of the church and was 'working the composition' while looking through the viewfinder and exposing film, moving and shooting intuitively, and stepped back some to find the ivy and tree shadow and made another...I really like busy pictures & I love shooting fast and intuitively with 35mm-unlike working in B & W with the view camera where I study, ponder, and maybe move the camera an inch or more, exposing just a sheet...thanks for your comment!
